Kalvė is the Lithuanian word for forge, a place where metal is heated, struck, and shaped until it holds its form. In a forge, you can't fake it — heat reveals what the material actually is. We apply that honesty to amber and gold-plated sterling silver.
We started Kalvė because Baltic amber has been undervalued for too long — treated as souvenir material, locked into outdated design, rarely taken seriously as a structural element. We believe amber should be worked with the same discipline as any precious material.
We pair amber with gold-plated sterling silver because both materials demand equal treatment. One is ancient, the other precise. Together, they create contrast without competition.
Based in Vilnius. Every piece we make goes through multiple stages of shaping and polishing. Nothing is added for decoration. The form is the finish.
